Be your own garbage truck.

Empty yourself first.

On that day, the thought of leaving this position crossed J's mind once again, probably because they didn't successfully transfer to the internal department this time. Also, dealing with dishonest people in the office seemed challenging. In fact, J had always been someone easily influenced, but they had never thought about how to make a change. It's not that J was unwilling to change; it's just that the idea of change had never entered their thought process.

On the same day, a powerful new term popped into J's mind: "courage." Yes, having the courage to change oneself is not easy. When thinking about courage, J recalled someone saying, "How we think is how we become."

If we enjoy contemplating how people succeed, we are more likely to engage in conversations with successful individuals and harness positive energy in our thoughts. This leads to a continuous cycle of positive reinforcement. On the contrary, if we confine ourselves with thoughts like, "I don't want to stay in a company with dishonest colleagues," our thinking might get stuck right there.

While people of this kind certainly exist in the world, we have the power to redirect our focus toward more positive things. As someone once said, everyone has 24 hours in a day. If we let dislike and unhappiness occupy our lives, there's no room for joyous things to enter. These wonderful things might have been present in our lives all along, but we overlooked them. Isn't that a pity?

Furthermore, when we harbor feelings of hatred, tension, worry, and fear, we temporarily lose our ability to think. Over time, this can lead the brain to get accustomed to a state of inactivity, causing it to stop functioning. This is not a good situation.

  • Clearing out negative emotions first is essential to make room for peaceful feelings and allow positive energy to enter.
  • In order to achieve the goal of learning every day and to maintain a positive mindset, it's necessary to stay motivated and avoid giving up halfway like before. We must make changes to sustain our motivation for continuous learning.

Before diving into daily learning, it's crucial to "clear out" your emotions, ensuring that the emotional low pressure from work doesn't affect you. When you rid yourself of these negative energies that cling to you, you'll discover your inherent positivity and approach everything with optimism and enthusiasm. This positive mindset empowers you to pursue your dreams with determination.

For J at this stage, "persisting" and not giving up is indeed a crucial lesson to learn.
